Remaining fully independent
BTChick is built on a foundation of curiosity, academic exploration and a desire to understand how financial systems shape the world.
Ammy Edberg began her academic journey studying International Political Economy at Stockholm University, where she explored markets, global finance and the role political decisions play in economic systems. This work raised deeper questions about money itself — how it functions, who controls it, and what alternatives exist.
Those questions led her to further studies in Bitcoin and blockchain technology at Högskolan Väst, with a focus on the monetary, technical and societal implications of decentralized systems. During this time, Ammy became President of Bitcoin Students, a student-led initiative dedicated to helping young people understand money, technology and financial sovereignty.
Alongside her academic work, she joined the Swedish Bitcoin Association, contributing to Sweden’s national Bitcoin dialogue and engaging with leaders across the Nordic Bitcoin ecosystem. Through a combination of academic research, community leadership and hands-on education, Ammy gradually established herself as one of Sweden’s emerging Bitcoin educators.
Today, BTChick operates as an independent Bitcoin education brand, led by Ammy and supported by a small assisting team. The mission remains unchanged: to make Bitcoin understandable, accessible and empowering for individuals, merchants and institutions across Sweden and Europe.
